FAQs: Where
can I learn more about living in Indonesia?
This website has most of the information you would want to
know - http://www.expat.or.id/info/bali.html
For Mataram & Lombok specifically, use
this search link which pulls information from the above
website and lists many useful links.
Who will arrange for my work permit?
An Indonesian work permit will be arranged by LIFT / Lombok Institute of Flight Technology. I have a
family. Can my children get good international
schooling in the area?
Basic primary and middle-schools are available in
Mataram (on the island of Lombok, and in the same town where the
Flight School is located),
and good international schools are located on the island of Bali, 60
miles west of Lombok and a US$40 commercial flight away. For
more information, see the above Expat website, and also http://www.greenschool.org
and http://www.baliinternationalschool.com How
long is the employment contract for?
LIFT is seeking candidates who will commit to at
least one year of employment. Naturally the hope is that
employees will find the environment so enjoyable, that they will
stay on for a longer period than that, but one year is the
minimum. Flight instructors need to be DEDICATED TO THE JOB AT
HAND. What
kind of accommodation is offered?
The selected accommodation for Flight Instructors is the
beautiful Lombok
Holiday Resort, directly on the Senggigi Beach in Lombok.
This semi-luxury resort offers a stunning living environment,
with a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable living rooms in an
apartment-style layout. Single instructors typically share an
apartment with one or two other
instructors, with each person having their own private bedroom. Applicants with partners or who are married,
can choose to have an entire apartment for their own use, at
additional cost (extra cost carried by the applicant).
LIFT understands that in order for
it's employees to provide a professional service, they also need
to be able to return to a pleasant, clean and enjoyable living
environment at the end of the day. Please review the photos of the
accommodation shown on
this page and the website for the Lombok
Holiday Resort. Additional
