Samrand TradeWorld
International Business Park & Expo Centre
The TradeWorld Development
Focal Point for International Trade & Investment
in Southern Africa
The Samrand TradeWorld International Business Park & Expo Centre is aimed
at creating the most significant focal point for international trade and
investment activities in Southern Africa.
The 30 hectare development, located within the 700 hectare Samrand Residential, Light
Industrial and Business Park development, includes five major components,
each offering significant benefits and advantages to international
companies conducting business in Southern Africa.
An International Business Park will offer up to 60,000 sq meters of
high class corporate office accommodation in unique two-level individual
buildings of 1000-2000 sq meters each, sectioned into country and/or
regional clusters.
Companies located within the park may exhibit their latest industrial and
technology products in one of two permanent 2,000 sq meter Exhibition
Pavilions, designed to international standards and surrounding a 3,000
sq meter outdoor display area.
A TradeWorld Convention Centre within the development will
accommodate specialized international trade and investment conferences and
conventions, whilst two co-located 5,000 sq meter Exhibition Halls
will house temporary International Trade Exhibitions.
Numerous vital services related to international trade, and trading within
Africa, will be housed within a main central administration building. These
services will include representative offices of strategic Government Trade
& Finance Departments, a comprehensive Trade Library, an onsite United
Nations ETO Global Trade Database, typical trade services such as onsite
courier, car hire, and travel reservations services, and other related
services of direct benefit to TradeWorld clients.
For corporate entertaining and relaxation, members of the Corporate
Business Park will have access to their own private TradeWorld Club with
full dining, gym and sporting facilities including squash and tennis
courts. Members will also have privileged access to the Samrand Residential Golf Estate, currently being
established immediately opposite the TradeWorld development.
Matching the corporate office park are a selected number of large planned
Trade Warehouse retail centres, located on adjacent properties and
comprising of industry-specific concentrations of local and international
goods on sale direct to the wholesale and public markets.
The highest degree of security is available to all Samrand Development
clients by virtue of Samrands' own Police Precinct, located at the center of the Samrand development and due for opening
in March 1998.
The entire TradeWorld project, which will be linked by 24 hour Internet
access, will be extensively promoted by local and international marketing,
offering it's tenants unprecedented exposure of their Southern African
operations.
The initial marketing of the development is due to commence early in 1998
and Phase One of the development is planned to open in May 1999. Full
development of the Project is expected within five years.
